Is the Old Upper East Side the New Williamsburg?
In what seems to be an endless cycle of “up and coming” neighborhoods, the New York Observer ran a piece on the Upper East Side. Long considered an area reserved for the posh, proper, and old experienced, the historic UES is quickly becoming a hip and affordable (gasp!) neighborhood.
No need to convince me of this. The UES boasts some of the most stunning architecture and real estate in all of Manhattan, is steps to Central Park, and has shopping, from commercial to mom-and-pop boutique, that makes this girl weak at the knees (I’m looking at you Celine & Ralph Lauren).
Looks like you don’t need to be a real life Gossip Girl or hedge fund manager to have your slice of the UES. Where do I sign up?
